“I have never like answering machines of any kind as "I sent you a voice mail on your phone" just isn't what I want to hear. Talking to a real person is. Old School - I guess! A missed caller id would be ok. Can voice mail be disabled? Thx”

• I would say you be better to contact Ooma about that. But I know if you don't set up voice mail on a cell phone, no messages are saved ,maybe it be the same and a phone with no answering machine might work

• As far as I know, you can't. (Maybe Ooma knows how.) But you can control how long before voicemail takes over. The max time is 59 seconds - few people would wait that long before leaving a message.
