• No you don’t need to purchase an additional reciever. The 199.99 DVR Satellite Receiver just needs to be connected to the satellite assembly and an activation.

• Yes...it is also the receiver. You don't have to buy another one. If you pay for the DVR functionality each month ($4 a month if you subscribe to a package and $12 a month for locals only) then you can record, ff, rewind etc. If you do not pay for the DVR functionality the entire box acts exactly like a regular receiver.

• No all I had to buy was one complete unit. Both reciver and Dvr in same thing
