• I would imagine that the developer negotiated a monthly amount rather than just one lump sum payment. It was probably advantageous for OrbyTV as a new company to keep their overhead low.

• Seems like a good value to me. I'm paying $4/month for DVR service. By comparison Tivo is charging $6.99/month and most tv services I've checked out or used charge much more. I love the fact that they don't charge for local channels.
