In most cases your technician will be able to us your existing cables. If you have vintage RG59 coax cable that is suitable for antenna tv, your installer should replace it if it will be used from the dish to you ORBY tuner. If RG59 is used to the ORBY tuner it will work for days to months but eventually your ORBY tuner will live a shorter life. All cable from the dish to the ORBY tuner should be RG6 or better. RG59 is acceptable for use from the local over the air antenna to the diplexer that allows the local tv channel signal and satellite LNB signal to be combined onto a single cable routed to your ORBY tuner. Local channels will look better than the compressed locals that Dish, Direct or cable/fiber tv provides.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely. The installer will use the existing wiring. He did that with mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The satellite technician will check the coax to see if its still good. I use to have Dish and I believe they were able to use the existing coax from the previous setup.
