How much space should there be from the top of this toaster oven and the bottom of a cabinet that is right above the toaster? I don't want the heat from the top of the oven to damage my cabinet. null

I bought this for my daughter and asked her that question. She said 3-4 inches. She actually has a ceramic cutting board on top.

The toaster oven is approx 11 inches high. I bought a small cart to put it on. How much space to cabinet would depend on whether the space is open or not on the sides. I would want at least a foot of clearance before considering putting it under a cabinet. Another factor would be how long you will run it. Just toast takes 5 minutes and puts off less heat than cooking for 1/2 hour. Top does get hot.

I would put it on a free standing island with NO cabinets above it. The oven does get hot on top if it is on for a long period of time, especially on convection baking...
