• No, the fan doesn't run if you select "BAKING". It only runs if you select "CONVECTION".

• I have never heard the fan turn on in baking. Or toasting for that matter

• I have a similar Oster oven, but it has a separate switch for the fan. It has no fry basket, but I use a fry basket from a different device in it. I have not yet discovered one countertop oven that can toast and air fry and turn the fan on or off.
