I think I had to buy screen protectors separate.

No, screen protector does not come with the case. You’ll need to buy that separately

It does not have a physical screen saver; however, the edges/lips are raised and covered by both the plastic durable cover as well as a rubberized ring. If you drop it face down the screen will not be damaged based on how Otterbox raised the edges above the screen. Otterbox made the cover out of 2 different materials to avoid easily breaking your phone. I dropped mine right on the corner on concrete and the rubberized piece totally whosoever the shock and now damage.
