Would this case also fit an (first edition)iPad mini? null

This item only works with iPad Mini 4.

I had just the opposite experience. It fit the first edition iPad like a glove and was too small for the iPad Mini 4.

No it does not. The volume buttons do not line up and you can not adjust the volume.
