Does this case work with an IPad mini 3? null

My thoughts are no...it states the 4 is a few mm taller...

NO, it’s specifically Only for the iPad Mini 4

This is for a ipad mini 4. The ports and/or buttons most likly will not line up.

The one I bought was for the iPad Mini 4, but they have them also for the Mini 2, and 3.
