Carefully. When taking it apart be aware of the snaps that hold the two pieces of plastic frame the rubber cover is on. These snaps are pretty strong but on my last OTTER case I did break on of the snaps because of overuse of the belt clip. This was my fault not the design. Just be aware of the clips. And gentle. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To take off the case, you just have to be careful. The outer flexible case comes off pretty easily and then you just have to snap off the inner case carefully.

Then there is clips on the sides, carefully pull apart clips so as to not break them. Then your phone case will be off.
