• The case is not slim. It actually bulks up the tablet quite a bit, which is pretty common for Otterbox products, but it gives superior protection in return for both the front and back of the tablet whether in use or while transporting it.

• It is my thin. It is about a 1/2" thick went on. But I like it that way. Very protective. What's the advantage of thin???

• It is not a thin case. But it will protect your ipad.

• The base case is pretty thin, but the cover over the front just about doubles the size.
