• No, otterbox doesn't make completely waterproof cases. Only lifeproof makes waterproof cases. However, it will wear out if it gets wet constantly. Otterbox does make power pack cases that are like the commuter cases, so get a glass screen protector.

• Ive had mine at the pool and in the ocean using it to take pictures and video underwater and it has not let me down. Even had it in my hand when about 8 feet under water and it was fine. A little difficult to get the screen to do what you want it to do but mine has been fine under water
