• I think they say water resistance rain splashes from the sink but definitely not water proof. The one I currently have for my xr does not have a plastic cover screen.

• Your better suited with a LifeProof product, if your device isn't water resistant already the iPhone XR is IP67 rated making the XR water proof for 30 mins submerged.
