Brand new 65 box...drain plug won't close the drain. Plug only screws in a bit, not far enough to close the drain. Thread is straight. Very disappointed

The cap just doesn't screw on very far before it seizes up, and allows a steady drip as ice melts. I've tried multiple times to re-screw the cap, always goes on straight, just doesn't actually work.
