• First make sure you pull the plastic strip out of the battery in the back. Then its pretty straight forward from there... It has two separate batteries, that was a mistake I made.

• Thanks for your inquiry. The golden rule for changing clock display is the 2 dots between hour/minute MUST be continually flickering/flashing BEFORE making any changes to clock display. If the 2 dots are NOT continually flickering/flashing wait approx. 60 seconds for 2 dots to begin continually flicker/flash. Then the year on the lamp must be changed to reflect the current year.
