I ran into the same problem until I realized that after pushing SET to adjust the time, the display that appeared as 2000 was actually the YEAR, and I needed to press the UP button several times until it was changed to the current year of 2020. Then the day and date reflected this year instead of the earlier year that came up as the default.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS FOR LAMP (model #CSRD300W): -Changing year for correct day: If your Ottlite lamp has to have the day adjusted please note that the lamp automatically defaults to a specific year (i.e. 20:08 in the clock display area). Push mode button once, Push set button once, fix hour (up/or down key) Push set button again, fix minutes (up/or down key) Year should appear (may look like 20:08 in the clock display area). Adjust to correct year by depressing up/down key to appropriate year Push set button again, fix minutes (up/down key) Push set button again, fix month (up/down key) Push set button again, fix date (up/down key) Depress mode key 4 times in order to get out of change mode Hope this helps. So after setting the time, it now changes to the next day and date at !2 Noon (PM) instead of 12 Midnight (AM). So I'm looking at yesterday's date and day of the week until 12 noon each day. How do I get this time fixed so date and day of the week changes at 12 Midnight (AM)? Thank you! Shirley

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The trick is to be sure you have the calendar set for 2020. I learned this by calling the customer service number on the instructions. The customer service agent was very helpful and emailed brief instructions promptly.
