Yes and no. It will say motion or sound detected in baby’s room. It will not notify you however if the app is not open (and it does not make any sort of alerting sound or anything). Under the video of the baby it simply shows text “sound detected in baby’s room”.

Get the Nanit, same price, but they invest way more into their app instead of their marketing team One would think that a baby monitoring app would at the very least send you a notification to your phone when your baby is moving/crying. Nope! Not this one. And here's the best part, when I couldn't believe it and figured I was doing something wrong and there had to be a setting for the notifications, I called their support. I asked if it has notifications and they said no...So I asked well how else would this app notify me of my baby's movement if you don't have notifications, seems like a pretty entry level basic requirement for a baby cam. Their response "just keep the app open and don't close it". Don't close the app is their official response. Garbage
