Owlet Baby Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Owlet Monitor from Best Buy. I had problems getting the Owlet App to work. There were no directions included. I chatted on the company website. The rep was not able to get it to work either. I kept getting an error code. She gave me a phone number to call and ask questions. I did. Immediately upon calling the rep said she would read what the online chat rep had to say. She came back and said my internet at home or my wi-fi was not working with the app. She said I should call my Home Internet. I decided to continue trying, and I got it to work. I felt the 2nd customer service rep was extremely rude and did not know the facts. After I got the app to work on my phone. I plugged it into the babys bedroom. I loved that the app took the entire screen on the phone and that the quality of the picture was extremely good. Night Vision was excellent. Very clear. I liked that the app told you about the humidity in the room, the temperature in the room and that stated the room was comfortable for my baby. Also that I would be able to add other cameras if I needed them in other rooms. What I did not like was that I was not able to move the camera through the app up and down. My infant is 8 - 1/2 months old and moves consistently and turns. Therefore I would need to adjust the camera to be able to stay up with him. I was not able to do that through the phone app. Overall the monitor with the app is good with the exception of not being able to get it to work right away. Also not being able to move the camera through the monitor. But I loved the clear screen and temperature and humidity readings. Yes I would recommend if the parent did not need to move the camera to keep up with their baby. For that reason I rate it a 4. Also if they did not need to reach out to customer service. If it had a movable camera, I would rate it a 5.

Convenient
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Temperature and humidity shown in the display. It’s very convenient when I want to know if the room is comfortable for my baby. One thing I don’t like is it’s often to be offline..

Best Cam Yet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for our 7yr old daughter with her baby sitter. It's amazing! It has a wide angle view, great picture, zoom and the night vision is a bonus. The setup is less than 5 minutes and as simple as it gets. And yes, you can literally watch anywhere you are on wifi or have good service. The best way to feel at ease....it's worth the money.

Video Baby Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owlet Cam Smart HD Video Baby Monitor The Owlet Cam Smart HD Video Baby Monitor was very easy to set up and the mobile app was easy to download and install. I had the monitor and camera set up within minutes. I like the temperature and humidity feature The HD Monitor has a good picture and sound quality, the camera mounts directly to the crib additionally a wall mount option is included in the kit. I wish the camera would move/ pan for additional views. Once the camera is set up the view is fixed. As a new mother I rely on my baby monitor to regularly check on my baby. The Owlet monitor provides this access to check on her while I am working, cleaning or preparing meals. Overall I would rate it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Love this baby monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m sort of a Type A, busy Colorado mom who needs peace of mind! I just like things to be easy & go smoothly! This baby monitor did just that! LOVED how quick and easy the set up for this monitor was, I truly appreciate that as I’m not a techie. Super clear picture and streaming. The two-way hear/talk option is fantastic(no garbled static sound). It has nice maneuverability for the best angle, I can see the entire room it is set up in. I also like how the cords tuck away so it’s not messy, more products should do this! I really love everything about this camera, definitely gives me peace of mind seeing, hearing and talking to my baby. I would buy this again or give it for a baby shower gift for sure! You won’t regret this purchase!

First Time Mom
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a first time mother, this camera really made things easier on me. The fact that I can download an app and see the camera anywhere at anytime is really wonderful. If I'm at work and my babysitter lays him down in his crib, I can check in on him from my phone at my desk. Really puts my worries at ease!

Great camera, problems with the app
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera, which is the entirety of the product purchased, is fantastic. Great picture quality, great sound quality. It feels like it is well designed, sturdy, and like it would last a very long time. The app portion, however is not up to speed with the camera. We tried the app on multiple devices with the most current IOS update, bought a new router for our internet to make sure that was a non-issue, and it was still spotty. The app would stop working partway through the night and I would wake up to my baby screaming and not knowing how long he was crying. Unfortunately, we had to return the camera- which we loved- because the app was just not efficient enough for peace of mind through the night.

Peace of Mind
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, this baby cam is the best one I’ve seen yet. The picture is SO clear on it and it is very easy to set up and use. If I’m in the other room or cooking or whatever, I just keep my phone with me and I’m able to see and hear everything my son is doing. It’s absolutely worth purchasing just for the peace of mind alone! I’m including a picture here of me holding it so you can see it’s pretty small. It’s very unobtrusive. I used to stop whatever activity I was doing during the day--vacuuming, cooking, etc., every minute or two to go check on baby boy if he was napping. Now, I just glance at my phone and it seriously frees me up to actually get something done here and there finally. Every parent trying to juggle caring for a new baby while trying to run a household needs one of these.

good for the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the video feed itself lags, which to be fair, could be my cheap wifi as it always say the camera wifi connection is “fair” not “good” or “excellent”. I didn’t have trouble setting up the app, it walks you through everything and if it doesn’t connect it gives a list of reasons it could be and how remedy them. I used the wrong wifi password at first. I mainly got this camera knowing its issue because I wanted a camera with night vision for a fair price. I got exactly what I wanted and what I paid for. Pros: Night Vision Low price Simple connection Temperature check Two way talk Cons: When no one is streaming the feed, as in completely closing out the app, there is the owl shaped light reflected. I am personally going to have it up on the wall eventually. My daughter doesn’t seem to sleep well with it in her face so I leave the app open in my phone all night by simply not closing it out. I can still use my phone I just don’t fully close the app for this reason. If you don’t plan to hang it on the wall and your baby is sensitive to sleeping with lights on, I recommend something different. One more con for me, the lighting during the day is very dull. I have my old V-Tech camera still set up right next to the owlet and it the picture capture the sun better and was brighter and a bit more clear. I gave 4 stars because for the price and brand you are genuinely getting what you pay for. I wanted clear night vision and got it so I’m satisfied. I admit that my V-Tech camera was $100 at target, came with a monitor and a phone connection through the app to watch from there, records motion and sometimes precious moments of you and baby, has nightlight options, plays music and white noise as well as two way talk. That’s a better bang for your buck, there’s typically a reason you want to buy an owlet. As far as problems go, it depends what you intend to get out of your camera. I don’t need it for naps as much as I simply want to see my child sometimes when it’s dark at night. I tried to cover everything I’ve noticed so far, of course I haven’t installed it fully yet but it looks super simple to mount. If you want it and don’t mind the slight issues, get it. It’s a good camera.

Easy set up
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion. I purchased my Owlet during my third trimester after seeing an ad on Instagram and reading the positive app reviews. The app and camera were fairly easy to set up. My only complaint would be the load time for the camera, other than that I would recommend it for ease of access.

Neat Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera and it’s so easy to use! By downloading the app, I was able to see a good-quality picture on my phone. One of the neatest features is that it shows the temperature and humidity levels in the room. This is very helpful, especially when the baby is too young for a blanket. I can’t wait to use it when we’re out of the house. I can just pull up the app anytime to see what’s going on. Impressive!

Live Video, Live Alerts and Remote viewing!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a gifted camera from another brand kept failing, I picked up this camera on sale and I have been consistently blown away. This thing is miles ahead of the other camera. You get live video on the app, no matter where you are. The noise alerts work great. You can even see the temperature in the room, which is great going into the summer. This thing is rock solid and worked right out of the box with very little configuration and makes a great companion to the smart sock. This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion.

Owl baby monitor (Or senior monitor)
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is excellent ! We've used it for the last year for my 98 year old grandfather. He's been suffering with dementia the last 4 years. Although my mother has been staying with him. It's been helpful that the rest of the family can check in on him live to make sure he isn't wondering off.

DO NOT BUY. Overpriced for what you get. Get Nanit
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I decided to do a POC (Proof of Concept) for my newborn with two of the highly rated baby monitor cameras, the Owlet, and Nanit Plus. I will admit the camera quality on the Owlet is slightly better but that's as far as it goes. Here are the major issues with this camera: The app constantly crashes and loses connection to the camera and the workaround I've had to do is force close the app then relaunch. I have the latest Samsung phone at time of writing this (Note 10 Plus) running the latest version of Android so that's not the issue. If you look in the Play Store, many others have complained about the app crashes and nothing has been done to resolve this yet. On top of that, one would think that a baby monitoring app would at the very least send you a notification to your phone when your baby is moving/crying. Nope! Not this one. And here's the best part, when I couldn't believe it and figured I was doing something wrong and there had to be a setting for the notifications, I called their support. I asked if it has notifications and they said no...So I asked well how else would this app notify me of my baby's movement if you don't have notifications, seems like a pretty entry level basic requirement for a baby cam. Their response "just keep the app open and don't close it". Don't close the app is their official response. Garbage So I was still on the phone and I said the temperature reading still doesn't seem to be working. They said try uninstalling/reinstalling and unplugging/re plugging and if that doesn't work, send it in but I have to pay for shipping for their broken out of the box product. The last question I had for them was I couldn't find a feature to share my video feed with Grandma/Grandpa without the audio feed/wiretapping my own house. Their genius response: give them your username and password. Yeah but then they would have the same access? Yeah well that's the only work around we have at the moment. Lastly I live in an apartment and there is no easy way to mount this higher for an eagle eye view of the crib. The only mounting equipment they have requires screwing into the wall which you obviously can't do at an apartment. Overall this product would be great if they invested as much money with their IT and App Development Team as they did with their Marketing Team, but they didn't, so you are left with an overpriced live feed camera. Now, if you are looking for a camera for the same price but actually worth what you pay for, get the Nanit Plus. Nanit Plus Camera (not owlet) -The temperature and humidity levels actually work -You actually get notifications when your baby moves/cries (figured that would've been a given for a baby monitor) -Support team is awesome to work with -Apartment friendly camera stand so you don't need to put holes in the walls -Monitors the breathing of your baby and makes it even easier to notify you when he/she is awake. Overall my only complaint about the Nanit is I wish it had a higher res camera. It has about the same as the Owlet but I was hoping in today's day n age we would have a 2k/4k baby monitoring camera so the zoom in quality would be better. Other than that, I love the Nanit and will be keeping it, would highly recommend. I already boxed up the Owlet and plan on returning to Best Buy. I hope you read this Owelt and get your priorities together because that was embarrassing.

Works great but could improve
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device is easy to connect and works really well. Image is clear in all lighting conditions. The only issue is that it only directly integrates with phone apps and they are a bit clunky. 1. Two monitors can’t be configured to one child. So you have to create “<name> upstairs” and “<name> downstairs”. 2. You can’t connect using a PC to monitor which would be helpful. 3. You should be able to configure the sound to continue outside of the app with the screen locked.
