• i can not testify if you are pulling a super long trailer, if it would work. the wifi transmitter located on the camera has to connect to the receiver located in the video monitor and mounted on your dashboard. buy if your car has backup lights, you can connect the wiring for those lights to the camera wiring. i don't do after market accessory installs and i was able to install in under 30 minutes, after i located the back up light wiring on the car
