“Why does this have ground, but no 12V? I think my connections are correct....But no sound. I know the amp had power, I don't know if the wires I used to connect the speaker wire to the amp were too thick or amp was too powerful or if I need a 12V wire”

This unit does not provide a remote turn on lead for an amplifier is it sued to take a speaker level audio signal and reduce it to an RCA level output for amplifiers that are not able to handle a speaker level input directly. Standard power, ground and remote turn on connections to the amplifier are still needed.
