• On my 2015 ram its just a basic truck no steering controls or factory amp. But with this harness I was able to reprogram my steering wheels buttons to have steering controls. Like vol up vol down, Seek, Source. In my opinion worth it if that's what your looking. I've now taken this one and went with the maestro, because the new radio has gauges and able to read trouble codes but needs to be able to plug into your obd2 port.

• This is for an amplified system, which most cars have nowadays. I have an 05 Cherokee and learned this. The amp for factory is hidden in the car. This harness was needed and I don’t have steering controls in my car. Was replacing a factory CD player
