The light is on when running but off when the door if opened - both odd and annoying.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for reaching out to Panasonic concerning your question. No, the light does not come on when you open the door. The light only comes on when the microwave is running on the NN-SN661.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When the door is open, the light stays off. When the microwave is running, the light is on. As far as I can tell, the light is never on unless the microwave is actively on and cooking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This light only turns on when it's running
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The light is on,when the door open.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the door open, no light. When it runs, the light is on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For me, the light is off when I open the microwave. It does come on when I start it though. Unless there is an option somewhere to turn it on (I haven't checked), I would say it was meant to be that way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The light is on only when cooking. The light goes off when cooking is done and unlike other microwaves it does not come back on when you open the door to take food out or put food in. Sure would be nice if it did. I can't figure out why the engineers designed it this way but we are getting used to it. It's not to bad if you have a well lit kitchen. I suppose if you have the habit of leaving the door open this wastes energy and shortens the life of the bulb. Everything today is about energy conservation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Light is off when microwave door is opened, but light is on when microwave is in use(running).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.on when and off when closed.
