• No. It is either timer or cooking. You can't use both functions at the same time.

• It depends on your microwave. I had a Whirlpool that would allow that, but now have Whirlpool that won't.

• Thank you for asking. Timer is set up when you select cooking time in order to microwave a specific food. You can also Press Quick 30 until the desired cooking time (up to 5 minutes will be on the display).
