I have fit as large as a 9 x 13 baking dish in here without having to worry about the item hitting the walls. It fits perfectly, and never hits the sides of the microwave. I'm not sure how much larger of an item you would have than that, but I don't believe there is a way of stopping the turntable; other than removing the glass turntable and sitting the item on a (microwaveable) free standing item that hovers over the turning mechanism.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, but it is large enough for big dishes, that is why I like it ;-)
