If you have a 27" cabinet or a 30" cabinet, the CD87KS will not work. I like the CD87KS because of the stainless steel interior, but not the other features. The simple solution is to get a microwave with the right trim kit. I'm deciding against the Panasonic 4:1 or 2:1 Home Chef because I don't like the that the heating element inside a microwave can cause a fire if don't know or forget what you're doing or a family member or kids or guest thinks its safe to put microwave things like paper or plastic plates in the oven then turns on the regular heating elements to brown the food or air fry. Also the metal broiler wire rack and air fryer rack will arc if you use the microwave feature Panasonic has warnings. So its a 4:1 with a 24" trim kit (unless to most) and there is a 2:1 with a 27" trim kit but I say keep the microwave separate. Other annoying feature I found reading reviews is Panasonic makes you press 2 buttons to start the microwave (theres a quick start, then press start) AND Panasonic's inverter technology interferes with Wifi. So I'm not sold on this microwave or any Panasonic microwave at all. If you must have this one, checkout getting a custom made trim kit like at https://microtrim.com I was looking at what one brilliant person, because he didn't want to spend $300 on a stainless steel trim he instead used $10 wood trim and it looks really nice. http://www.reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/wr22mo/the_stainless_microwave_trim_was_300_so_i_built/ Unfortunately he left out the vent holes and should have an exhaust trim on the bottom of the microwave. I liked the not paying for a $350 price gouged trim kits more than the cost you can get a countertop microwave oven for. I was looking at not rebuilding a cabinet and instead placing over the cutout hard maple moulding because that matches my cabinet and retrofitting the old exhaust lower vent trim and rails.. But to be safe I'm instead going to just get a built in microwave and their and trim kit that fits I actually need a 26" trim. I don't think its safe to experiment with a wood trim, but I think its less safe to have a 4:1 microwave that cause catch fire if you forget the paper plate inside with catch fire when you turn on the heating element to broil. Also the browning on the 4:1 only does one side, Panasonic recommends a toaster for both sides! People are also installing what is called an appliance garage (a door that opens up on your cabinet) and put a microwave inside because its expensive to spend $800 each time the build in microwave breaks.
