It is not a rehargeable battery, I regret buying this as while not having a cord is great I can't get through one shirt without having to put it back on the base.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This iron doesn't have a battery. The iron heats up on the charging base, which offers an angled cradle. This iron has prongs at the rear side which conducts electricity from the base. This allows the soleplate to heat up.
