“Dose this record a flash I need to attach for night or is it built in? Also do you need a separate program to copy from camcorder to dvd? I have a sony that uses Play Memories but 12 yrs old, time to replace.”

Thank you for asking. You can attach an external LED Video Light Flash- the compatible model for this camcorder is VW-LED1PP. You can copy the motion/still picture data to the HDD of PCs or write to media like Blu-ray discs,DVD discs or SD cards using HD Writer AE 5.2.
