• Yes u do hear the caller leaving the message and u can mute all messages.

• Hello! The telephone system has the Call screening feature. While a caller is leaving a message, you can listen to the call through the unit’s speaker. Call screening can be set for each unit. The default setting is “On”. You need to perform MENU #3101 for line 1 or MENU #3102 for line 2. These steps can be done either on the base unit, or the handsets. Hope this helps! -C
