- Answer Yes, they include (qty 4) AAA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. Each handset requires 2 batteries. You cannot use alkaline batteries. According to the instructions.

- Answer Dear Steve, thank you for your question. You can press the 0 key on each handset until they beep to turn the ringer off or on. To turn the ringer on and off on the base unit you need to press and hold the (-) volume key until the unit beeps.
