• Yes. 2 Panasonic AAA Ni-MH batteries, rechargeable ONLY. Not regular batteries.

• Correction!, the handset specifically state you can NOT use alkaline batteries in them...you must use the Ni-MH rechargeable batteries in the handsets....which are included...2 per handset.
