- Answer Hi! You can only pair 2 cell phones. A system has base unit + handsets only. You can't have handsets connected to two bases. -M

- Answer yes, bases are not designated to the handsets. the numbers on the handset are for the intercom... if you want to call a particular handset, that may be in another room, you need to know that handsets number. this information is all in the manual...
