- Answer Yes, there is a mute/erase button on the base unit. For the handset there is a soft key visible on the display during a call that shows MUTE.

- Answer Dear customer, thank you for asking. You can turn the ringer off on each handset by pressing and holding 0 key until the unit beeps. To turn the ringer off on the base unit you need to press (-) button repeatedly. If you want to turn off the answering machine you need to press MENU and then #328.
