Thank you for your question. As the Base Unit is connected directly to a Power Source, they cannot be operated during a Power Outage.

Please try again later.If you're using it as a landline phone and the phone lines are ok, it may work for a short time depending how much it's been charged Same goes if you're using your phone as a voIP and the cable lines aren't down. Remember the base is the charger and if electric lines are down you won't be able to keep it charged. Old corded, not cordless, phones, should work since they don't need an electric line, but again as long as the phone lines haven't gone done.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The set I have is at least five years old. Since it is plugged in to electrical outlets it does not work with outages. I assume to work it would require a battery backup.
