- Answer Yes Miss QuietLady, the callerID can be disabled. The steps are as follows: <press> MENU, <press> up arrow to Settings, <press> SELECT, <press> down arrow to Talking Caller ID <press> SELECT, highlight Handset or Base unit, select On/Off, <press> SAVE, <press> OFF to return of main screen. I hope this helps.
