“Can you listen to a message as it is being recorded on the answering machine on this model? If not, is there a model that does allow this feature? My 95 year old father waits to hear a message being left before picking up to screen his calls”

It has audible message alert that allows the base unit to beep to inform you of a new message arrival when new messages are recorded and also has a feature called new message alert by a call which allows you to receive a notification by phone when new messages are recorded.
