• This phone has a directory. You can import a directory from your cell phone or you can input numbers manually. Manually is a little time consuming, but not difficult. You may also set up favorites for quick dialing. You DO NOT have to include the 1 for long distance numbers.

• Yes, it does have a directory option. It also has an option to group your preferences, such as family, home, cell etc. You do have to put the 1- in front of long distance numbers. Good luck.
