Hello! Yes, the LCDs and keys are backlit, however this phone is not an amplifed model. We encourage you to check these amplified phone systems: KX-TGM420W, KX-TGM450S and KX-TGM430B. Hope this helps! -C
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We've only had our phone system for a short time, but I will say that I have not noticed a boost to the volume of sound. However, the speaker when used will certainly amplify the sound of the caller. The screens are backlit and are easy to read.

There is no slow down playback available. Be aware that this is a complicated phone system to learn; it has lots of features and control buttons. I am an IT guy — I love it. My wife thinks it is too complicated and regularly asks for help.
