I am able to use these handsets approximately 60-70 feet from our home with no problem. This is also with the main base being located on the far opposite end of our home on the 2nd story. Total distance from base to where we begin to lose the connection at the handset is at least 100 feet. This is with no hills, trees or other homes in the way. (I carry it to our kids’ bus stop sometimes & am very pleased that these reach that far.) If your main base was outside with no obstruction between the handset & base (or somewhere like in a garage with the garage door open), I’d imagine you could easily go further accordingly:
