“If i purchase 4 of these phones, how does the intercom work Will each phone have a number as in phone 1,2,3,4 and i would push intercom 2 for example to talk to the person in another room that is on phone 2. Just trying to make sure this is how it works and would the only bill i pay be my phone bill or is there some kind of system fee that has to be payed monthly.”

The intercom is a feature of the KX-TS4200B so you do not need to pay additional fees for intercom calls. If you have a parallel connection, and the 4 units are plugged in on the same line then you can use the extension buttons to make your intercom call. The procedure would be to press intercom then the extension number you are trying page and just wait for the other unit to pick up your call. Thank you for your question Traci!
