QuestionDoes this Phone work off a server?I am shopping around for phones. I found one at staples the x16 phone that works off a server kind of like a router. We have 4 lines coming in to the building. 2 are dedicated to the phones and the other are for fax and credit card machine. With that server I can put 4 phones to 2 lines. So I like that feature. How does this phone connect multiple lines to multiple phones. Does it have a server similar that I need to purchase?

- Answer Hi Service center, this 4 line corded phone only requires a regular jac to work. If you have multiple phones, it has to be connected to a jack with parallel connection with other telephone jacks. Then assign extension number.

QuestionIs this phone "hunt" capable?We currently have RCA 4 line phones and they do it but we are having problems with the intercoms and need to get a new system. We currently have 3 lines and our phone company has it set up so that if line 1 is busy it will automatically ring to line 2 if they are both busy it will ring to line 3. Will these be compatible with that?

QuestionHow many wall jacks will I need for this phone?We currently have a 3-line phone that is using one phone jack. Does this phone work all the lines through one wall jack? The AT&T phone we just had to return had two jacks in the back of the phone, one for lines 1/2 and 3/4. That ment we would have to add a second wall jack in 6 of our offices, Too costly so we returned them. We need a multi line phone only needing one wall jack.

- Answer The KX-TS4200B is not compatible with a 3 or a 4 line muti-jack. It can only accommodate a 2 line jack. Your phone jack would need to be split if you intend to use this phone. I hope this information is helpful to you Karan.

QuestionIf i purchase 4 of these phones, how does the intercom workWill each phone have a number as in phone 1,2,3,4 and i would push intercom 2 for example to talk to the person in another room that is on phone 2. Just trying to make sure this is how it works and would the only bill i pay be my phone bill or is there some kind of system fee that has to be payed monthly.

- Answer The intercom is a feature of the KX-TS4200B so you do not need to pay additional fees for intercom calls. If you have a parallel connection, and the 4 units are plugged in on the same line then you can use the extension buttons to make your intercom call. The procedure would be to press intercom then the extension number you are trying page and just wait for the other unit to pick up your call. Thank you for your question Traci!

- Answer Voice mail is an automatic answering service offered by your service provider/telephone company. After you subscribe to this service, your service provider/telephone company’s voice mail system answers calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone or when your line is busy. Messages are recorded by your service provider/ telephone company, not your telephone. - Answer The KX-TS4200B only has 2 ports at the back, first port supports both Lines 1 and 2 and the second port supports Lines 3 and 4. Regardless what type of phone jack you have the telephone will only recognize standard sized line cords either an RJ 11 or an RJ 14 ( RJ 14 is included in the package). If your current jack supports 4 lines together, that means you have an RJ61 interface, it is not compatible with the KX-TS4200B not unless the jack is split by a device or by your phone company.

- Answer Only the KX-TS4300B is comparable with the KX-TS4200B. The rest of the features are the same except for the answering system. The KX-TS4300B has a built - in answering machine.

QuestionIf I buy 4 can I transfer from one number to another?I am looking to purchase 4 phones. Each of the phones will have one number the same, and one number different. Can I tranfer a call from phone to phone. Example: all phones will have the number 555-5555. Then each will have a different number 555-5544, 555-5533, 555-5522, 555-5511. Can I transfer a call that comes in on 555-5544 to another number?

- Answer This is a regular consumer phone, if you have 4 phone lines (phone numbers), the phone will only recognize which line it is connected, if one KX-TS4200B is connected to 555-5555 and 555-5544 and another KX-TS4200B is connected to 555-5555 and 555-5533, when a call comes thru on 555-5555 both phones will ring. If unit 1 answers the call you can make a 2nd call on the other line, and then combine the calls to establish a conference call then unit 1 can hang up as soon as the other line answers to complete the transfer. Simplest way to transfer the call though, is to press 'TRANSFER' during a call and press the speed dial (extension) button or enter the extension number, then place the handset on the cradle.

- Answer No. This system does not have the option for music on hold Carina. The KX-TG4500B is the only mutli-line system Panasonic manufactures that has the music on hold capability.

- Answer This is an integrated telephone system, it only works with the KX-TS4100B and the KX-TS4300B. It is not capable of supporting cordless phone systems. If you are referring to the receiver handset connected to the phone, the part number for it is PQJXC0401Z.

- Answer Hello peanut, here are the dimensions of the KX-TS4200B. Hope this information helps. Approx. height 105 mm x width 245 mm x depth 225 mm (4 and 1/8 inches x 9 and 21/32 inches x 8 and 7/8 inches) Base is measured without the wall mounting adaptor attached.
