Will the IR receiver on this model recognize an IR blaster? My TV is in a different room than my A/V components; therefore I must be able to control this unit using the remote control pointed at an IR receiver which then sends signal to IR blaster. null

Nope, you have to manually do it. Make ur tv recognize the remote. My tv is a lg c2 and I have same player but cant do what you said. Jusy my experience

Hello! This model comes with its own IR remote control for operation, but it is not designed to directly recognize an IR blaster. Also, this model was not typically designed to be controlled via an IR blaster. When other Panasonic devices respond to the remote control of the unit, you need to change the remote control code. -C
