• Hello Larry, Our GoSafe 268 camera clips on to the existing rear view mirror and completely covers it which would mean it would cover those buttons to open your garage. • No, the button does not synced to your garage opener. The button only functions the menus of the Papago camera/mirror. Hope this help.
