• Hello Larry, Our GoSafe 268 camera clips on to the existing rear view mirror and completely covers it which would mean it would cover those buttons to open your garage. We would recommend a different option like our GoSafe 30G that uses a suction cup to adhere to your windshield. • No, the button does not synced to your garage opener. The button only functions the menus of the Papago camera/mirror. Hope this help.
