Yes, this device isn't "wireless" and must be plugged in to operate. Wires will either "hang down" or one can guide and hide the cord around the rubber gasket of windshield. Other options would be to place camera in lower area of windshield, or perhaps in one corner of windshield.

You can achieve this by either using the car adapter provided, hardwiring the dashcam to your vehicle's battery or using a power bank to power your dashcam. If using any wired power supply options, rest assured you'll be able to tuck the wires away out of sight into the vehicle's frame.
