My understanding is you only have to register if you fly above 400 feet or out a certain distance that you cannot see it I'm guessing more than a half a mile.

Yes, considering the weight you do have to register it with the FAA however it takes all of 2 minutes and it's like $7.00 here in Missouri

yes and no, you don't if you only fly it inside, check your local ordinances before you fly outside and also register with parrot to get the warranty in place
