The smaller number is the amount of RAM which is what eventually slows down the computer - but I'm always running several programs at once, and NEVER turn off my computer until it freezes or starts acting really weird. I imagine I reboot my computer about once a week on average, but I don't notice any real difference in speed between reboots - more likely a program will freeze up long before the RAM fills up enough to significantly affect the speed. Just my own experience; I am certainly not a computer whiz and someone might provide a better answer. One thing I will say is that my HP computer is going on 6 years of being on continuously; this is about twice as long as most other computers seem to last. I'm in the market again, and will likely consider only HP again regardless of price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Memory is RAM random access memory and clears once you reboot. The 1 TBD is Hard Drive size, where the windows and your documents and pictures are stored. [email protected]
