Does this remote have a button for DVR? null

Short answer is no. Pretty much made strictly for Xbox one features.

Depends on the DVR. I can easily control my Hulu DVR using this remote.

As Microsoft abandoned the DVR plans for the Xbox One, nothing on this remote will make it happen. It does have a button that will bring up the channel guide, switching it to TV viewing automatically, trecording is still not possible. There IS a Record button, but it is non functional, at present

No. The feature of the cable add in to Xbox allows it to auto record what you are watching but does not, out the box, allow you to record and save.
