It works with any camera with a tripod socket. The quick release plate attaches to the bottom of your camera. So you can buy extra plates for each camera you own or switch from one camera to another. It’s not really meant for smartphones but if you buy a smartphone tripod mount, you could attach the quick release plate to it. You can also attach it to an action camera like GoPro tripod mount. It main purpose is to clip & carry your camera (doesn’t need to be big lensed) on your backpack/daypack/belt/camera bag for quick access. You can start taking pictures in seconds instead of opening your bag & pulling out your camera.
