Hello! Personally, I would NOT suggest relying on this item to hold your child. While this is made of metal, remember that you will be attaching a 50-100+lb electrical device to it, and then placing it in the air. I would highly recommend that If you do choose to use this, you use caution and ensure that any and all chairs, tables and any and all items your little climber uses to boost him or herself up, have been removed (and stay removed) from the area around your tv, making it a safe area. A TV stand is not a jungle gym for your little one. Even though that’s how he or she may may see it. If you are looking for something sturdy, I suggest investing in something like a local gym uses for their TV. LoL. Either way, your little one is going to have to learn that a TV and its stand is NOT a plaything, no matter how playful it looks. I hope this has found you before he/she has wrecked the TV.
