      Answer

It depends on two things: screen size and distance from the screen. For screens under 65", you have to sit fairly close to the display to be able to really see the difference. From 70" up, it becomes far more noticeable. However: HDR is a different animal. Even with my 55" screen, 4K HDR is a vast improvement over 1080. I've noticed on both Amazon and Netflix with my Roku Ultra as the source that the image is fantastic. Since this player and your TV support HDR, I think it is worthwhile. I have not viewed an actual 4K Blu Ray with HDR on a TV, but it should be even better than the online sources.

I've been having a problem with this player. Only when playing 4K Blu ray discs, there will occasionally be a line running from the top to the bottom of the screen. Kind of like when the tracking was off on a vhs tape. Anyone else had this problem?   (1 Answer)

I would imagine it would, however, I paid the extra cost and upgraded to the Samsung UBD-K8500. In my opinion, it is by far the best 4K Blu Ray player on the market, including the Xbox One S.
