“So the bridge comes with an Ethernet port and a cable. After I connect the cable into the bridge Ethernet port, can I connect the other end to an Ethernet outlet? or am i forced to connect it straight to the WiFi router?”

It just has to be on the network. Mine is plugged into a switch which plugs into my router.

If you either don't have enough space on the router or do not want to put the bridge in the same place you will be fine plugging it into a wall outlet but it is better off in the router
